Other Specialties

Veterinary specialists are veterinarians who have undergone extensive training to become experts in a specific discipline of veterinary medicine. As specialists, we work with primary care veterinarians to provide a team approach to address unusual, uncommon, and complex medical conditions. Our team consists of veterinary practitioners and veterinary specialists working together towards the common goal of helping pets and their owners.

Internal Medicine services are provided by Dr. Brad Green and Dr. Alaina Moon who work collaboratively with radiology, cardiology, surgery, oncology, and dermatology specialists.

Ultrasonography, radiography, and CT

Ultrasonography is an important component of the diagnostic investigation of many diseases. Ultrasound exams allow for the architecture of internal organs to be evaluated. Ultrasonography is commonly performed in patients with symptoms of vomiting, diarrhea, decreased appetite, and abnormal urination as well as patients who have been found to have liver disease, kidney disease, splenic disease, ascites, pleural effusion, or an abdominal mass. Combined with radiographs, ultrasonography can provide a description of the structure of most internal organs. Dr. Green and Dr. Moon are skilled in performing routine ultrasonography. CT scan is available to provide a three-dimensional view of bone and soft tissue structures. CT scan is useful for examination of the skull to characterize nasal disease, the thorax to evaluate respiratory disease, among other findings.
